Increasing trust and confidence in a telehealth service
speedoc: patient facing app
UI/UX | Adobe XD | user research
Speedoc is an app that brings a house call doctor directly to where you are, 24/7. Whether the patient is bed-ridden, or the queue at the ER is too long this is when Speedoc comes in. The app combines the ease of ordering takeout with expert medical care.  I redesigned and conceptualised this app from the ground up.
design process + main redesign points
The main objective of this redesign was to modernise the app while keeping the specific needs of the target users in mind. Speedoc's main users are middle-aged persons with elderly parents under their care. Speedoc was redesigned following the model of other apps used by target users such as: food delivery and ride hailing services. The familiar information organisation eases app use. New icons were added to visually aid users.

To bring a cleaner look and maximise usability, cards were introduced. These cards can be minimised by sliding downwards. A review section was added as a new feature. After the end of each visit, patients can give the doctors valuable feedback.
Consistency is kept throughout the app by adhering to a style sheet. The one below is for buttons.
